MultiHighlighter: Efficient Multi-Word Search and Highlight Extension for Chrome
MultiHighlighter, developed by CCDevGroup, is a powerful Chrome extension that allows users to search and highlight or redact text on almost any web page and local files. With a light-weight design, this extension offers a seamless experience for keywording enthusiasts.
One of the standout features of MultiHighlighter is its ability to perform multi-word searching and highlighting. Each search term is highlighted with a unique background color, making it easy to identify and navigate through the highlighted text. The extension also includes a real-time count of the number of matched terms, providing users with a quick overview of the search results.
MultiHighlighter seamlessly integrates with the Chrome browser, ensuring that it does not interfere with the default search functionality. The highlighting is preserved even when printing to standard media or PDF, allowing users to retain the visual cues they need.
To use MultiHighlighter, simply click the extension icon or press Ctrl+Shift+A after a page has loaded to display the search bar. As you type in the search box, the extension performs real-time search and highlight. The search bar can be closed by pressing the Esc key or clicking the 'X' on the right-hand side.
Please note that MultiHighlighter currently only supports words with a length greater than or equal to 2 and the search is case-insensitive. The redaction functionality is currently under development and will be available soon. It is important to mention that this extension does not work when viewing PDF documents in Chrome.
